Wedding Day - 26 September 2000 - Tuesday

We gathered in the courtyard back at the Gersberg Alm. We listened to
a musician adorned in old world Austrian clothing play a zephyr, which
is an Austrian version of an "electric harp". The day could
not be any more alive and filled with love. We looked out across lush
greenery to the trees, which gave way to the breathtaking view of the
city below the mountain.

The menu was salad with mozzarella wrapped with prosciutto, pumpkin
soup, Austrian potato dumplings with sauerkraut. The wedding cake was
our splendid dessert. The champagne and wine flowed throughout the sunny
afternoon. Our parents spoke of the time that they met their spouses.

Dad spoke of the purchase of the ring for Maryann. He went to a
"Jewish friend" that was in the jewelry business. He spent is
entire savings on the ring, and proposed to her. The ring is now worth
fifty times what he originally paid for it, but at the time of purchase,
he went to have the ring appraised, and the amount of appraisal came in
lower than the purchase price.

Andy made the best toast of the day, "to Mrs. Morris."
It
brought tears to my eyes. He was so calm, loving and prideful the entire
day, and summed it up by just one toast. He had hushed the
"crowd" earlier in the day when he told everyone, that
"he was the only smart one in the group, because he was marrying me
today."

Andy's Mom made the funniest toast, "Here’s to those who wish us
well, and for those who don’t can go to hell."
We finished the afternoon by retiring to our rooms. Andy and I had successfully and lovingly become Mr. & Mrs. Andy
Morris. We spent the rest of the afternoon making love.
