I was born in Baltimore, Maryland on the14th of December in 1966 to Arthur John and Maryann Reiber. I was their first and only child. Maryann's mother, Margaret Marshall still resides in her hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania. My mother passed away when I was only five. Dad remarried to Charlé, who had three children from a previous marriage, Charlie, Roberta and David. Charlie wed Carol in the summer of 1985 and they have two wonderful daughters, Kate and Kelly. They live in Carmel, Indiana. Charlie works for the FBI. David is only nine months older than I and we quickly became the best of friends. David wed Theresa in November 1994. They have three children, Johnny, and twin girls Carolyn and Emily who turned one in June 2000. They live in North Canton, Ohio. Dave is the president of Stark Metal Sales in Alliance, Ohio. Aunt Lydia, my father's only sibling, lives at Treasures Island, FL. Her daughter Christine lives at Columbus, Ohio and is attending law school at Ohio State. Lydia spends a good amount of her time with my Great Aunt Bee and Uncle Henry who live just up the road. EducationI graduated from The Ohio State University in June of 1989, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and a minor in Human Resources. I was in the capstone program, intramural sports, and a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Career
I then moved to Columbus, Ohio and took an Associate Buying position with Lane Byrant. It was private label, sourced overseas product that was high pressure and fast moving fashion. I worked with them until I took a position two years later with Kohl's, in April of 1993. I worked as an assistant store manager for one year, at which point I was promoted to the Store Manager of the Hamilton Road location in Columbus. I worked there until I was promoted to Louisville, KY to open a free standing store in March of 1996. I was recruited by Macy's West in San Francisco and went to work for them in December of 1996. I spent a year and a half with them working in their Union Square location and then at Stanford. I returned back to the East with Parisian. I began working for them in April of 1998. I have opened a store with Parisian as a General Manager at Douglasville, GA. I currently am working at Phipps Plaza. Fun Stuff
My love is animals and writing. I have many published articles and hope to re-enter the writing world again. I am also an avid equestrian, that has been out of the circuit much too long. I ride English, Western, anything to be on a horse. My best friend is Annaliese Train. She and I met at Ohio State and were sorority sisters together. She lives in Dublin, Ohio with her husband Denny and is a partner in a law firm in Columbus. My other friends include dear ones close to me like Marc Browne, Michelle Hebert, Katie Kane, Theresa Rownd (my sister-in-law & one of my best friends), and Stacey Honea. I'll be continuing volunteer work in the near future. I've helped with literacy programs & food banks. One day I plan to take Yoga classes and maybe meditation. Music & MoviesI grew up in the 80's!!! This is still what I find myself reverting back to - however, I enjoy classical, country, new wave, pop - pretty much everything except Heavy Metal. My favorite artists include Bruce Springstein, The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, Madonna, James Tayler, Trisha Yearwood... I'm a sucker for a good tear jerker... but keep me away from any horror flicks. Some movies that I have seen at least 15 times include: "Driving Ms. Daisy", "Shawshank Redemption", "American President". Other movies for the animal at heart are some of my favorites, "Homeward Bound" and "My Dog Skip". Books
RestaurantsI have been enlightened with food since I have met my husband. I enjoy any restaurant that has a nice ambiance, wonderful service and not pretentious. I love "authentic Mexican." One of mine and Andy's favorite places in Atlanta, Georgia is Tacquera del Sol. But, mostly, I enjoy being my "own restaurant" and cooking for my family. Andy and I dine out quite often, but we enjoy nothing more than to try to incorporate what we experience in our dining adventures back in our own kitchen. A sample of a favorite menu. . ."Veal Scalapino with proscietto ham, sautéed and glazed with a Marsala wine sauce, served with fresh vegetables and French bread."
