Christmas Holiday

Mableton, Georgia
24 - 25 December 2000 - Sunday & Monday

Stephanie and I spent our first Christmas together at home in Mableton.  This year we had snow a few days before Christmas which made the holiday much more enjoyable.

On Christmas Eve we had a dinner of chicken with prosciutto, peanut soup and mushrooms.  Afterwards we called Mom in Texas and told Mom, Jeff, Greg and the rest the great news of Stephanie being pregnant with our first baby.  Then Stephanie and I opened a few presents and saved the rest for Christmas morning.  I played a little Christmas music on the piano that put the dogs asleep.

Bailey and Montana got new beds for Christmas, although Fred has already taken over Montana's bed.

Christmas morning, Stephanie started the day by making cinnamon rolls.  Next we called her Dad and told her family the great news about her being pregnant.  It was great to finally make the news public since we've been keeping it a secret since early November.  Then Stephanie and I finished opening presents.  Stephanie received a new Volvo V70 for Christmas.  I left it up to her to choose the colors and options.

After noon, we drove to Mike and Caroline King's home for Christmas dinner.  All their parents were there along with their respective brothers.  Mike fried a turkey.  It was  wonderful.  Later Stephanie and I went back home and watched the movie "Gladiators."
